CSA 6/28

Today's CSA was so green and beautiful!

I got green onions, cabbage, and cilantro:




Jade green beans, zucchini, and broccoli:



I also got eggs and some beets (I didn't get a picture).

This week I'm going to make:
The beets are a bit of a mystery to me. I've never cooked beats before. Maybe I'll make some Beet Risotto or Beet Chips  or some Quinoa Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Walnuts

I had to work today, and somebody brought us leftover flowers from the farmer's market. Check out these Mexican hat flowers (Ratibida columnifera). 



A few of my residents and I laughed about the unusual shape! We also got these two beautiful bouquets:
