Tour de Fleece- Completion!

image title

It includes HY Overfond, SCF Diversity, PRS Luna, HY Sour Fig, Nest Sunnyside Up, SCF Cavern, Wound Up So Serious, NBK Borderline Personality, and PRS Experimental Circus.
I got roughly 2 pounds, 4 oz and spun a finished total of 3407 yards!
This seems like so much spinning to me since 5 skeins out of 9 are fingering weight, and the Tour is only 21 days. I also took a short vacation from my wheel for 4 days, worked lots of extra shifts at work this past week, and had some extra obligations during the Tour. I couldn't be happier with how much I spun! Now to start planning projects and casting on...

Tour de Fleece- Day 1

Tour de Fleece is one of the most exciting times of year for me! Here's some of the fiber I'm spinning:

From top to bottom: Pigeonroof Studios Luna on sw BFL, Southern Cross Fibre Diversity on Falkland, Hello Yarn Sour Fig on Shetland, Nest Sunny Side Up on sw Merino

These are some of my most favorite colorways!

I'm also spinning North Bound Knits Borderline Personality, but it's already being spun. I'll have to wait to get pictures once it's on the bobbin.

CSA 7/5

My shares keep getting bigger and bigger! This was the heaviest share yet.

Today I got eggs, green onions, beets, cilantro, and that really pretty yellow summer squash.

I also got another cabbage, cauliflower, three cucumbers, and 2 zucchinis.

I also got three bell peppers for a dollar! You can't beat that price.

This week I'm planning on making
  • Enchiladas with squash, green peppers, and cilantro
  • Curry noodles with veggies (to use cabbage, green onions, cauliflower) (I'll also add some yellow peppers and mushrooms I have already)
  • Barley Wax Bean Salad (to use beets, wax beans, green onion, AND cucumbers!)
  • And I'm so overrun with cabbage, I'm going to give some to a bunny friend to eat. Last week alone we ate 1.5 cabbages.

Finished Yarns

I LOVE this yarn. It's Cheviot wool which is awesome for socks. Old Master, dyed by Southern Cross Fibre. I got around 400 yards total. I may have just ordered another pound and a half of this fiber...maybe...

Some of the other yarns I've finished lately.  This is Homeland dyed by Southern Cross Fibre. It's on South African Superfine, and it's the softest wool I've ever spun! There's about 300 yards of DK weight yarn.

I did a combo spin of Hello Yarn Wickerwork and HY Hullaballoo to make this big, fat skein:
